Welcome!

Hello folks, as promised this is my new blog - dedicated to reveiwing childrens books. For the moment, I am concentrating on toddler's books ( ie 1-3) and preschool kids ( 3-5). I have always have a passion for books. I am always on a look out for good books to collect to add to my collection and since I do story telling in public and to my own kids, the collection has been slowly growing through the years. Started when my daughter Amanda was born and now she is 15, going on 16! The two younger brothers are now enjoying those books while Amanda, who is also an avid reader has moved on to books that I haven't even read before!

Books are a wealth of knowledge. Books develop an interest in language and widens the vocabulary. Books encourages focus attention. Books allow the imagination to soar - there is no limit! Books is a safe place to explore the big, big world out there in the safety of your home. Reading to and together with your child gives you the precious time of bonding - a time for just to two of you. My son Adam ( who is 4 plus going on 16!) calls it the snuggly time. The highlight of his day and mine is to snuggle in my bed with books of his choice ( how many books each time depends on how well he negotiate!) and just escape into the world of stories.....
